Ephesus Courts Update

By July 16, 2019 Announcements

Pickleball Enthusiasts

We have just been updated by Parks & Recreation regarding the upcoming refurbishment of the Ephesus Pickleball Courts. Work on the courts is now scheduled to begin on Monday, 7/22, and run for at least two weeks. The courts will not be in service during this repair period.

So, pickleball play at Ephesus can continue through this weekend. Enjoy.

When finished our new playing surface will be on a quarter-inch thick layer of a dense, shock absorbing, material called “mondoten” that has been used in other sports and racquet facilities all over the country. You can read more about this amazing approach to repairing cracked tennis and pickleball courts via the following link:

Play action and ball bounce are not expected to be effected by this material. However, the shock absorbing qualities of mondoten is expected to be much easier on player’s lower joints. We’re excited about this upcoming improvement to our Ephesus pickleball courts. And we think you’ll be very pleased as well.

See you on the courts.
