Ephesus Park Upgrades Under Way

By May 3, 2019 Announcements

Pickleball Enthusiasts,

Curious about all the construction work at Ephesus Park?

CH Parks and Recreation is now in the process of upgrading parking and accessibility at Ephesus. Over the next several weeks the number of parking spaces at Ephesus will be increased by twelve. The entire parking area will be paved. A number of large boulders will be strategically placed to prevent parking in grassy, non parking areas. And an additional handicapped parking site will be provided.

Simultaneously with these parking upgrades the wooded area between the pickleball courts and the restrooms will be re-landscaped and a new sidewalk added to make the park ADA compliant as to accessibility.

Weather permitting all of the parking lot additions and ADA accessibility changes should be completed within about five weeks. Some time near the end of these Ephesus upgrades all parking within the present parking area will be blocked off for no more than two days to enable paving of the entire lot. The courts will be open during this period. But we will likely have to park within the school parking lot and/or along neighboring streets.

We are in close contact with both P&R and the Project Construction Manager. We expect to be able to alert you several days in advance as to when alternative parking will be necessary during the paving of the parking lot.

See you on the courts.
