Update on Ephesus Courts resurfacing

By July 26, 2018 Announcements

Folks,

As many of you have noticed, the surface on the Ephesus Pickleball courts is not in the great condition it started in. The court surface will normally degrade after 3-5 years. We have the additional problem of water coming back up through cracks in the court after rains. The latter issue is unluckily not fixable as it requires tearing up and redoing the courts which is prohibitively expensive.

Parks and Recreation maintains the courts, and last year at our request the courts were placed on the list for resurfacing. It can take a while for P&R projects to get done, and luckily we are finally close to getting our resurfacing done. The bid for work is out, and they are finalizing the contract. This means we should get resurfaced sometime in the next few months depending on the contractor’s schedule, weather, and our input (trying to coordinate with our fall leagues, and fall tournament).

When we know the actual planned dates for the resurfacing work, we will communicate this to you.

We’re excited to get the courts back into great condition!
