New CH Pickleball Steering Committee Members Sought

By May 8, 2017 Announcements

Pckleball Enthusiasts,

It is time to invigorate and to add new Steering Committee members to our Chapel Hill Pickleball community. Steering Committee members help bring fresh ideas, provide feedback, help start programs and assist in guiding the Chapel Hill Pickleball programs. Additionally, they help represent the face and character of the sport.

We are seeking nominations for candidates to the Steering Committee. We are expanding the size of the Committee from seven to nine to include more voices from or community. There are currently seven members (two ambassadors and five elected seats). Beginning in June we will have seven elected seats plus the two ambassadors.

Please email your nominations to the ambassadors (jmarr.jr@gmail.com or bmh@ils.unc.edu) by noon on Friday, May 12th. No matter your age or skill level, you could serve in this advisory capacity. You may nominate yourself or someone you think would be good for this role. We would like to have as much diversity in experience, age, times of day that people play, etc, to have as much representation a s possible. We expect nominees will be able to contribute good ideas and have an open mind to listen to other’s ideas.

Should there be more nominees that available positions, we will hold elections by email the end of May to select new Steering Committee members.

See you on the courts.
