Pickleball Athletes

We have recently received word from CHCC personnel that some pickleball players are leaving the nets and other gear up after completing play at the Community Center, forcing Community Center personnel to deal with our equipment after we leave for the day.

An Important Reminder

We play pickleball at the Community Center with the permission of Parks and Recreation. With that freedom to play comes a requirement: that we put up and take down our pickleball nets and other equipment before and after each day’s session. Continued failure to handle our equipment responsibly could result in our pickleball group losing the right to play at the Community Center!

Responsible Actions

Whether at the Community Center or Hargraves if you are the last ones remaining on the court, you are responsible for returning all gear to its proper place in the rear storage closet. This includes putting the nets in their bags, securing the file storage cabinet, returning the sign- up board and checking to see that all balls have been removed from the court and placed in the storage cabinet. We have been given a special marked off section of the storage closet. All of our gear must be stored within this marked off area.  Note: all chairs need to be refolded and returned to the chair frame at the back of the courts.

If you are leaving the gym just before the last four players on the court and no one is waiting to play, please take down the net(s) not being used and return chairs to the chair frame. It’s just good manners as well as an expression of appreciation for the play opportunities and resources that have been given us.

Remember, each of us  has to be a proper steward of the play resources we have…or we’ll all risk losing them.

See you on the courts.
