SUMMARY:EPHESUS PICKLEBALL COURTS CLOSED FOR REPAIR
DESCRIPTION:EPHESUS PICKLEBALL COURTS UNDER REPAIR\nThe Ephesus Pickleball courts are closed for repair and renovation.\nThis work is expected to require approximately two weeks.\nDuring this closure the entire existing court area will be leveled and a new more shock absorbing surface called “mondoten”  will be overlaid on the newly leveled court base.  Following the mondoten installation the entire surface will be painted with new acrylic colors  to define courts and boundaries.\nThis new mondoten court playing surface will positively effect our playing experience by preventing  water from pooling in the low areas of  the courts.  In addition\, the new court surface will prevent water from seeping up on to the courts through exiting cracks.  And\, as an added bonus\, the resurfaced courts will be much more player friendly as the mondoten  will  absorb some the impact usually transferred to our lower joints during play.\n\n

SUMMARY:Ephesus Park - Competitive Play 7-9pm
DESCRIPTION:Competitive play is a regularly scheduled time for players who wish to practice their competitive game play to get together to hone their skills and prepare for tournament level play.   You partner up with a teammate to play games. The game format is “winners stay on”\, where the partners who win stay on the court and play another game (but after you win twice\, you rotate off).  Games are played to 11\, win by 1.   If the courts are full\, put your paddle in the paddle saddle to indicate you’re waiting to play.  Courts 1-5 are programmed for competitive play\, Court 6 is reserved for open play. \n  \nEphesus Court Information \nBring your own paddle and balls.  Restrooms and water are available spring\, summer fall.  PortaPotty during the winter.   Recommend bringing your own drinks.   There are four benches on the courts.  Feel free to bring your own chair for seating.   Note: this event is winter weather/temperature dependent…people may not always be out. \n  \nCourt Rules \nNo beverages other than water are allowed on the courts.
