Ephesus Park – Advanced Competitive Play 6:30-10pm

April 11, 2017 @ 6:30 pm - 10:00 pm

Competitive play is a regularly scheduled time for players who wish to practice their competitive game play to get together to hone their skills and prepare for tournament level play.   You partner up with a teammate to play games. The game format is “winners stay on”, where the partners who win stay on the court and play another game (but after you win twice, you rotate off).

Bring your own paddle.  Your own balls are suggested.  Restrooms are available except during the Winter months when a porta potty is provided. A water fountain is available but is turned off during the Winter. So bringing your own water bottle is suggested. 4 benches are provided but you might want to bring your own chair for seating. Note: this event is winter weather/temperature dependent…people are sometimes out.

Court Rules

Players waiting to play should queue up by placing their paddles in the paddle saddles that are attached to the fence. Players on the court should play one game to 11, then come off after the game ends, being replaced by the next four players waiting to play. During certain times of the week the courts may be reserved for scheduled activities. Singles play is not permitted when all courts are full.

No beverages other than water are allowed on the courts. Alcohol is strictly forbidden on any city property. Music is permitted. But must be muted, respectful and limited to a single source located near the front entry fence. Dogs are not permitted within the fenced-in areas of Ephesus Park.
