Town Council Pickleball Presentation a big Success!

By October 12, 2017 October 14th, 2017 Announcements

Folks,

I just wanted to let everyone know that Wednesday night our brief Pickleball presentation to the Chapel Hill Town Council was a big success! We were presenting to make them more aware of pickleball, and in particular of our rapid growth, and need for additional courts (we’re lobbying for 24 outdoor courts and 6 indoor courts at the proposed Legion Rd Park just behind Ephesus).

I want to especially thank Gracia Barry who made our presentation, and BJ Attwood who was invited to speak by the Mayor. Both did a superb job! I also want to thank JB Marr who arranged to have over 50 people there in support, which really got the council’s attention. And thanks to all of you who did come out and raise your paddles in support of pickleball. We heard very positive feedback from the council members and others attending the meeting. Great job everyone!!!

This was huge positive step for us, and will help with all the lobbying we are doing to get you more and better courts here in Chapel Hill.
