Town Hall Council Meeting for Pickleball this Wednesday

By October 10, 2017 Announcements

Pickleball Enthusiast,

Thanks for agreeing to advocate for Chapel Hill Pickleball before the upcoming City Council Meeting this coming Wednesday, October 11, at the Town Hall. We will have less than five minutes to make our presentation for more pickleball courts at the Legion Road property during this meeting. But more important than our words is the presence of a large number of enthusiasts advocating for our sport. That’s why your attendance is so critically important this Wednesday evening. Our numbers alone will speak volumes.

Our presentation will begin almost immediately after the Meeting is opened and will last less than five minutes. You will need to be at the Chapel Hill Town Hall no later than 6:45pm and will likely be free to leave by 7:15pm.

The Council Meeting room is on the ground floor of the Town Hall, north side of building (away from campus), hard to miss. The address is 405 Martin Luther King Jr Blvd, Chapel Hill, NC. There is parking on the property and on the street nearby. Car pool if your can..

This is a very important meeting that will help decide the growth of our sport in Chapel Hill. Our presentation coupled with your presence will have tremendous influence in affecting the outcome of the development of the Legion Road Project in favor of pickleball.

Bring your paddle! You will not have to speak. Gracia Barry will make our pitch before the council members. The rest of us will be silent, very visible, advocates for the growth of pickleball in Chapel Hill.

After the meeting, Linda Alexander has very graciously and generously offered her home for an impromptu wine and cheese social from 7:30 – 9pm for those who attend this meeting. Linda’s address is 210 Stagecoach Rd, Chapel Hill. It is in the Greenwood area near campus Bring your own favorite snacks and wine to share if you please. Or just show up to meet and great your fellow players at Linda’s home. Linda notes that street parking is good in her neighborhood. THANKS, LINDA!

See you Wednesday, October 11, at 6:45pm for this most important Town Hall Meeting.
