HARGRAVES COURTS
We are growing! Hargraves CC now has THREE pickleball courts! This month the floors at Hargraves were refurbished and relined. An extra court was added. And the new white lines on all three courts make for an excellent playing experience at this venue. At present we still have only two nets to use at Hargraves. But a third net will likely be added next month.
Be aware that this Thursday, 9/14, our usual Thursday time slot at Hargraves from 9:30am – 12:30 pm will be truncated to end at noon in order to accommodate a town-sponsored basketball program . Our regular Thursday morning hours from 9:30- 12:30 will resume next week on 9/21. Check out the new court and gym improvements at Hargraves. Last week’s refurbishment was really well done.
CHCC GYM CLOSED FOR YEARLY MAINTENANCE
Just a reminder, the CHCC gym will be closed all this week through Sunday for its annual maintenance. Indoor play there will resume Monday, 9/18, from 10am – 2pm.
ORANGE, INDOOR ONIX BALLS
By popular request we have purchased new orange onix balls for the CHCC and the Hargraves CC. You’ll find them within the file cabinet at the CHCC. They will be added to our storage locker at Hargraves next week. Enjoy. And play on!
TIME IS RUNNING OUT FOR OUR OCTOBER TOURNAMENT
Chapel Hill’s first pickleball tournament has been scheduled for October 13,14,15.
It’s a Round Robin format and designed for you to have fun while guaranteeing you’ll play at least four games.
There will be
Men’s | Women’s | Mixed | Singles Age Divisions
with
three age brackets:
Under 55, 55-64, 65+
Registration is still open. But is limited to only 100 participants.
Registration Fee: $35. Includes T-shirt and all events
You have only till September 22nd to register.
