THANKS AND A TIP OF THE HAT TO….

“Smiley” (David Miller) for regularly coming in early with his gas powered leaf blower to clear leaves, pine needles and debris from the Ephesus Courts so that the rest of us can play safely. Smiley’s silent, courteous gesture speaks volumes. And is much appreciated. How about expressing your gratitude for his efforts next time you see him on the court?

EPHESUS PICKLEBALL TRAINING CLINICS

We will again be offering our very popular SKILLS AND DRILLS training clinics during the fall. Both clinics will take place at the Ephesus Park courts.

Intermediate Clinic:
8:30am-9:30am, Mondays
Beginning September 11th

Advanced Clinic:
(3.5+ rating):
5-6pm, Sundays
Beginning Sunday, September 10th

No need to sign-up. Just show up with your paddle! After both clinics,
there is open play at the clinic level immediately following the training.

Instructor for both clinics
will be
Brad Hemminger.

NEW STORAGE BOX

You may have noticed a new, grey storage box adjacent to the front courts at Ephesus. It’s purpose is to eventually serve as a repository for a first aid kit, lost and found items, various play and training aids and perhaps a defibrillator. All Steering Committee members have the combination to the storage box. So, if you’ve lost an item (or found one) or need a band aid, check out the new storage box.

NIGHT LIGHTING IMPROVED and EXTENDED

Want to play pickleball well after dark? Ephesus court lighting has now been reset to allow play till 11pm. Also, at our request the Ephesus parking lot night light has been replaced with a new, brighter bulb. And for that special touch, Jen Johnson, (with the permission of P&R) has placed solar night lights along both sides of the entry way steps to the courts. Thanks, Jen. Those personal touches add a lot and contribute to everyones’ safety.
